We are on the third month of the third quarter of the current rotary year. In just four months, the current set of officers’ term of office will expire. We have just four months to complete and achieve the goals that we have set at the beginning of the year.

One of our major goals for this year is to increase membership from 46 to 65 for a  gain of  19 members . So far, we have inducted seventeen (17) recruits from July 09 to Feb ’10. Two more new members will put us over the top of our target. It seems very reachable but we are not there yet. And there are no pending proposals with the membership committee. May I therefore encourage our members, especially those who have not brought in a recruit, to dig deeper into your list of possible recruits and bring them over to the club.

On April 30- May 2, 2010, we will have the D- 3870 District Conference here in Cagayan de Oro. For the new members, this is the opportunity to experience such a gathering without spending a considerable amount of money on transportation and hotel bills. Register now and take advantage of the discount that the host club is offering. Money saved is money earned.

Even with the approaching Discon 2010 and in spite of the fact that we have already submitted our accomplishment report, we are still pursuing implementation of a few more projects. Project chairman  Ric Gabaon and Dir. Alvin Benasa are still actively working on the Cala-Cala, Macasandig water piping project. They are hoping that it will start by the end of March.
